Fumaric Acid

Fumaric Acid or trans-butenedioic acid, is a white crystalline chemical compound widely found in nature. Fumaric Acid has been used as Food Acidulant in various food products. It is widely used in the manufacture of medicines, drinks, food, animal feed, cleansing agents, unsaturated polyester, alkyd resins, and printing inks, and is the strongest organic food acid in titratable acidity and sourness.

Applications

  • Food applications

    Fumaric Acid is used as Food Acidulent in Beverages, Bakery products, Fruit Juices, Nutraceutical drinks, Wine, Desserts, Confectioneries etc.

  • Feed Application

    Fumaric Acid is effectively used in piglet feeds during the post-weaning period.

  • Industrial Applications

    Fumaric Acid is used in Polyester, Alkyd Resins, Printing Inks, Paper sizing etc. It is also used as a mordant for dyes.
